Upper West: NPP’s Grassroot Executive Exposes Expenditures Ahead of 2024 Elections
An NPP Grassroot executive in Upper West Region (name Withheld) has revealed some amount of monies that were released to Parliamentary candidates in Upper West Region prior to the 2024 general elections.

An Election Review Committee was set up by the national council of New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the committee was in Upper West Region. Chairman of the Team is Dr. Yamoah.
Speaking to Upper West Media Team on Saturday, 15th February 2025, the party executive Indicated that a flight brought huge sums of monies into Upper West Region and each Parliamentary Candidate of the NPP was given Ghc1.5million for campaign.
The party executive revealed that Parliamentary Candidates received Ghc700,000 monthly for campaigns in Upper West Region whilst Constituency party executives including chairman were sidelined.
The party executive added that in his consistency for instance, Ghc5000 was supposed to be given to each polling station but they were given less than Ghc2,000 for door to door campaigns, a reason they lost woefully at some polling Stations.
The executive concluded that some Parliamentary Candidates deliberately refused to release funds for campaigns.
The New Patriotic Party Lost Three Seats in Upper West Region including Nandom, Sissala East, Lambussie Constituencies to the National Democratic Congress(NDC) During the December 7th General Elections held in 2024.
